If it was a good idea before they got the 8 million, it is still a good idea. Set standards for charter schools. They should have this step in place the next time they come begging for property tax money. And there will be a next time.

I find the Dispatch's editorial to be hypocritical.  The Dispatch was an aggressive supporter of the failed levy. Which implies support of the failed school board.

December 9, 2013 - "Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance"

Since Election Day, no school-board member has suggested that the board meet to discuss the district’s financial future, or talk about whether a new levy should go before voters in the spring.
“I really can’t tell you much of anything at all,” board President Carol Perkins said. “To date, we have not had that discussion.”
