September 14, 2013 - About Damn Time!

Well, it looks like Michele Van Dyke is losing her iron grip as the MIS Bitch in Residence.

I also checked out the levy support website - NewColumbusSchools

The site does not disclose who is funding the effort.  And it does not allow the posting of comments...so I asked why.

Columbus Dispatch Education Blog, September 11 - look at last paragraph

Think about the fact that the Administrators who planned and implemented this disaster are still working in the CCS Data Center. The contractor who made it worse, Cincinnati Bell Technical Services, will be on the job. And the levy is setting aside about 7.5 million dollars (.8 mills) for these incompetents to take another swing at screwing up the student & teacher computer systems. Is that something you want to vote YES on?

September 10th, 2013 - the big boys are really pushing that abortion of a levy

Just where is the money for the levy campaign coming from?

September 1st, 2013 ... surprise, Charter Schools record of failure printed in the Dispatch!

Here is why we need to oppose the levy - why throw more money at this system?  And believe me, the rating for "highly effective" charter schools will be tied directly to campaign donations to politicians!  Just look what happened with per pupil allowances this year, where David Brennans' White Hat schools got large increase for dismal results, while the highest rated charter schools actually got cuts!
